Producing a Product Launch That Ships Press Coverage
A product launch has one job beyond the room: it has to survive being retold. Every choice on the night — staging, run-of-show, even the seating chart — should make the story easier for a journalist or an analyst to write the next morning.
Step one is always the reveal moment. We block the exact camera angle a press photographer will want before we design anything else in the room, because that single frame is what gets syndicated.
From there it's a run-of-show built in five-minute increments, a dedicated media holding area with its own AV feed, and a hard rule: no keynote runs long. Press has deadlines; a launch that runs over kills its own coverage.
The playbook closes with a same-day edit — a 90-second recap cut and delivered to attendees and press before they leave the building. It is the single highest-leverage minute of production spend we make on any launch night.
